Formally known as Rolling Tank Productions, Pixel Lab Games are a small
game development company consisting of two members, Daniel Scott and Lee Barguss.
Originally formed in early 2008, the team set out to create game modifications. With the development of some small
Command & Conquer modification titles, Lee and Dan gained experience and imagination. This opened up the video game development industry for them, allowing the development of small indie titles. Most of these have been put aside and ceased progression, apart from the Pixel Wars Series. Currently, there is only one title within the Pixel Wars Series (
Pixel Tanks), but more are being planned and tested before Alpha release.
Other titles that Pixel Lab Games have begun to develop are
SumoBlocks and the
Community-Based Project (Untitled), and game modifications include
Red Alert 3: Conquer and Command. These have currently ceased development due to technical issues, but plans to re-schedule development in the future are currently underway.
While Pixel Lab Games were still Rolling Tank Productions, they created a YouTube channel aimed at the indie video game industry. Videos originally consisted of development video blogs and development tutorials but with the company re-brand, regular video game play shows and art time-lapses were added frequently, and suddenly the channel started to grow. Still owning only a small YouTube community, Pixel Lab Games are aspiring to create a popular gaming channel and aiming to entertain the masses.
